Acre Hall has huge outdoor spaces and to make the most of the environment an outdoor classroom and sculpture park is being developed.

Acre Hall was fortunate to receive a grant from The Big Lottery Fund to provide opportunities for developing the arts at Acre Hall. A comprehensive plan to help achieve Artsmark status  within 2 years has been produced. Part of this plan is to give pupils opportunities to create outdoor sculptures from found materials. The outdoor classroom will give space for groups to create their work and also somewhere to enjoy being outside!

Frankland Tree Services delivered some enormous tree trunks which will form the seating areas. Pupils  are busily trampling on the pathed areas – with our permission – to get them ready for the bark chippings arriving soon to finish the paths off.

Everyone is very excited! We look forward to sharing more photographs.
