The children planned, designed and created lampshades made from everyday materials. They have considered the needs of the consumer and planned their designs accordingly. They tested multiple ways of joining the materials by creating a variety of prototypes. The groups had to carefully consider the transparency and the tessellation of the objects, to ensure that they were for purpose whilst also being appealing to their customer. They also designed professional logos for their product and recreated these on the computers.

Once the lampshade was complete, they worked hard to evaluate their ideas and products against their own design criteria and consider the views of others to improve their work.
