Our Teaching Schools offer Initial Teacher Training and further leadership and developing training opportunities for teachers.
We work in collaboration with the Greater Manchester Learning Partnership which has been set up to improve outcomes for children and young people by bringing together the work of key educational partners across Greater Manchester.
Elmridge Teaching School
Relationships are at the very centre of our ‘Give, Gain, Grow’ Teaching School Alliance. These relationships, with schools and school-based colleagues, ensure a school-led approach to teacher training and development which is both successful and collaborative. Our teaching school partners play a key role in sustaining the role and reach of the Teaching School Alliance.
The Teaching School is also at the heart of our growing multi-academy trust, The Dunham Trust. Our Trust provides opportunities for training and development to take place across many different schools and a wide support network.
We ensure high quality across all of our initiatives and ensure that all our activity is reviewed and shapes future projects, in order to continually improve the delivery of our activities.
Teaching Schools have an important role to play in a school-led system and school improvement.

In drawing upon this resource we can improve the quality of teaching in schools and ensure the children in all of the schools we work with receive the best opportunities they can, to be successful learners.
It’s about learning for everyone, creating knots of activity in which we can change perceptions, improve practice and sustain improvement, in an environment where links and connections are made between the best practice and provision.
All schools in the Alliance should be able to identify the benefits that being in the Alliance has for all of their learners. We give generously in the knowledge we will learn so much from the generosity of others.
We should be adaptive and responsive to emerging challenges, meeting those challenges by sharing knowledge, skills, expertise, understanding and potential new ways of working.
Consciously learning from the learning is at the heart of everything we do; utilising a range of strategies which make explicit the learning processes and skills which enabled that learning to emerge.
